How To Commission E-com Product Photography
Make a brief
Make your photography brief by creating a shot list. List your products including their names/codes to work out the total number of images you require. A word document or excel file can be helpful for listing large quantities.
Describe or find examples of the type of images you need. For example, a square crop the product on a white background with a small shadow. Transparent backgrounds are also available.
If known include the final file sizes or image proportions you require.
If you would like keywords embedded into your images, make a list of these to include in your brief.
Request a quote
Email me to request a quote for your job, outlining your brief. If you have any questions for me just ask.
Be sure to read the quotes terms and conditions. If the shoot is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice a cancellation fee of 50% of the day rate is due.
You will receive a license to use the images as required whist its copyright is retained by me.
Book a date for your shoot
Securely deliver your products to me in advance of the actual shoot date, or bring them along if you are attending the shoot.
Choose products that are in perfect condition for the best results eg. clearly printed and properly applied labels on bottles. Small products may be represented larger than life size so it's important to carefully package your products to reduce any scratching or damage during transit.

If you have booked an an E-commerce product shoot it will be completed as per the brief outlined in the quote.
Final images are retouched by me after the shoot or within a few days depending on the schedule.
