As a rough guide I shoot between 8 and 35 images per day depending on the complexity of the styling required.

The styling level in this image would lend itself to 8 images per day, where the background, foreground and lighting change in each of the 8 set ups.  Its a large set with several props and includes the use of fresh ingredients and motion.  Smaller sets with less props or fewer background changes would be quicker to shoot.

The styling level in this image would lend itself to 35 images per day.  One background set.

Booking Your Shoot Date

I recommend booking five weeks in advance of your photoshoot to allow time for planning and purchasing props.  I've made a handy guide to help you get ready for your shoot.  A 50% deposit is required to secure your shoot date.

Styled Props

To help accessorise your set I have a selection of house props for you to use, including vases, ceramics, linen, houseplants and dried natural foliage.   Studio backgrounds measuring up to 90cm x 120cm can be painted to suit the requirements of your job.  See some of the available props.

Image Editing

Included in the price  of your shoot is the post production editing of the images.  I personally undertake all post-production having  previously worked as a professional retoucher. The post production process usually takes as long as the photoshoot,  I colour balance the shoot as a whole and remove any dust and imperfections.  Images are cropped to meet the brief requirements and are supplied in high and low res ready for use on your website.  I can also add keywords to the image metadata to aid in image search.

Image Delivery

Images are sorted into folders ready for digital delivery via a WeTransfer download link which is emailed to you.

Image approval option

There are a few options to ensure you are as much a part of the shoot as required.

1. Attend the shoot in person.

2. Using your brief and mood-board I work through your shot list and send you a retouched watermarked contact-sheet after the shoot.  A send and shoot service.

3. Receive emails throughout the day containing each prepared image for you to approve before I move onto the next image.  This method is appropriate for highly styled images when shooting 8 images per day.  Extra time is allocated in the quote to allow for this process.  It's best to schedule a day in your diary when you are readily available.

4. A remote Zoom shoot, receive a zoom link to the shoot but only be alerted when an image is ready for discussion.  See the images arrive in my capture software as I share my screen with you, communicate via your audio only.  This method is appropriate for highly styled images when shooting 8 images per day.  Extra time is allocated in the quote to allow for this process.  It's best to schedule a day in your diary when you are readily available.

5.   Remote Zoom shoot, Art direct the shoot remotely in real time throughout the day.
